Loughor Inshore Rescue is currently fundraising for a small, highly portable boat. This type of boat would be folded down into a bag and inflated quickly using compressed gas. It will be able to be carried by 2 crew and operate in very shallow water.
Loughor Inshore Rescue
Boat is an independent lifeboat charity that relies on the
generosity of people, mainly in the Loughor Estuary area, to
keep it operational. We receive no financial support from
the MCA (Maritime Coastguard Agency) or RNLI (Royal National
Lifeboat Institution) although we are a 'declared' inshore
lifeboat facility the same as RNLI inshore lifeboats, and
work closely with both organisations in this area.
